TIP:  All inclusive family friendly resorts are a great place to vacation with kids.

In a recent post I talked about the horrifying road to Negril, Jamaica. At the end of our journey down the long and winding road we stayed at a Beaches All-Inclusive Family Resorts
If you are staying on an island and basically it will be a “chill out” hanging on the beach vacation, you need to check out these types of resorts for many reasons.

1. The “all-inclusive” concept saves money.  At first you may be shocked at the price.  But if you honestly take a look at the cost of hotel, food, transportation to the beach, entertainment, etc… you will soon realize the savings.
2. There are MANY things to do at these resorts, most if not all are free.
3. Many resorts include nightly entertainment, luau’s, beach parties, and much more.
4. Want to spend a little time alone as a couple?  They have activities, day care, and “camps” for the kids so you can grab some vacation on your vacation.
5. Many have arcades, kids “clubs”, and places for your kids to hang out, when they aren’t swimming that is.
6. Security - This is a big one.  Most resorts are fairly secure with private beaches.  Absolutely a concern in places like Jamaica.
7. Because there is nothing for the kids to ask for (except maybe a small gift shop), there is no whining “I want that” and if you want, absolutely no need to spend money once you arrive.

So be honest and compare the costs.  Don’t faint from the immediate sticker shock until you realize that that may be all you will spend if you choose to.  Once you have that in your mind… go check out family resorts like beaches.
